Solving complex problems can require someone with a fresh perspective – this is Joe. A creative thinker, Joe is driven to find answers to the multifaceted environmental challenges of today.
Joe brings a multidisciplinary approach to his work, combining skills and knowledge from his professional experience as a consultant, and academic studies in environmental policy, corporate sustainability, GIS and systems thinking. Most importantly, Joe’s ability to combine these different ways of thinking and understanding enables him to engage with complex problems, quickly grasp the issues and contribute useful insights.
For his academic achievements, Joe was awarded the Australian Institute of Science and Technology Prize (2015) for the best results in Bachelor of Science (Resource and Environmental Management) at the Australian National University (ANU). Additionally, Joe was awarded the ANU Award for most outstanding student in Environmental Policy (2014), which specifically recognised his potential to make a difference in this field.
Since joining Aither in early 2015, Joe has worked on several projects, making significant contributions to the development and design of major national environmental and agricultural policies and programs. Joe has also played a key role in undertaking the water markets analysis for the Aither Water Markets Report 2014-15.
